What you need to know

Use DK yarn to knit this Simple Snowflake Square Motif by Nicola Valiji and knit your squares together to create a cosy blanket.

This simple snowflake square is the perfect way to practise knitting from charts and changing colours. It's beginner-friendly as it only uses stocking stitch so can be knitted up in under an hour too! This pattern is part of our Alpine Lap Blanket project. It includes six different squares made using a variety of stitch techniques, and there’s something for all skill levels. If you don’t fancy making a blanket, assemble a few of your favourite squares into a cushion cover or even a patch pocket on a cardi - go on, get creative!

Yarn: Snowglobe Yarn Kit, DK, shades Leafy Green, Snowy White, Santa Red, four 22g balls of each
Needles: 4mm straight
